I Believe A Spanking Isn't A Spanking If It Isn't On The Bare

So my parents are still super strict and don't change the rules at all even over breaks! Christmas was good here and I had a good time but yesterday I wanted to stay out later and enjoy my break with some friends. My mom was having none of that though and my curfew wasn't going to get changed.

I didn't like that at all and I started to get angry and yell and I said some mean things. Next thing I know I was bare bottomed over her knee getting a spanking with her hairbrush! And it was a hard one too my bottom was beet red when she was done. So now I'm sitting here sore and feeling sorry for myself. I just wish my parents would ease up sometimes!

Make sure you continue to help out at home. I have a temper, too. Yes, it sometimes got me swatted back in the day. One thing I've discovered is identify your triggers- stress? feeling disrespected? (by adults only.... I work with kids...they don't generally piss me off.) hunger? hormones? Then work on breathing or counting to ten and other proactive strategies.

I think your mom should extend your curfew some during break. You only get to be young once and it's important to have fun with your friends. But I agree with her on spanking you for mouthing off. You could have talked to her about it in a respectful way. We just have a difference of opinion. I'm sure she's doing what's she thinks is best for you and you should show respect.

@itskat001: If you are religious and you hint that you are, you may just have to submit to parental authority and, possibly later, to HoH or husband authority. As others have suggested, there can be many rewards for learning to do this.

In addition, there are alternative approaches to the Holy Scriptures as others here have noted.
