The Custom of Birthday Spankings

We were at a family gathering recently for a visiting Eastern European uncle. When he found out that I had a recent birthday, he wanted to give me a good luck birthday spanking. I'm sure it seemed strange to some of the people there but I didn't mind and my relatives were all glad that I obliged him. After he spanked me, I also obliged a few other relatives who also wanted to give me some good luck slaps and rubs on my bare bottom to celebrate my birthday. It's a family birthday party tradition.

A cousin, that I write to, was visiting also. Svetlana grew up in a rural mountainous region of Eastern Europe where the population has long been in gradual decline. To encourage population growth, parents are rewarded when a daughter marries or becomes pregnant and these rural townships receive federal support based on the number of children and pregnant women.

Svetlana grew up knowing that if she did not become pregnant or at least be betrothed by her eighteenth birthday, she would be expected to follow the regional custom of good luck Birthday Spankings from her parents, relatives, neighbors and eligible bachelors from the area - just like her older sister was. Following tradition, on her birthday, she wore a dress that left her bottom exposed.



Many neighbors, relatives and friends stopped by that day to wish her a happy birthday and to give her good luck slaps on her bared behind. Later, her parents would also invite eligible bachelors, of their choice, to her evening birthday party where the local wine flowed freely and she was given many more playful good luck slaps, pinches and rubs on her bare bottom.

By custom, she only had to accept one or two good luck slaps from each person but she usually accepted more if she was being slapped, pinched and rubbed playfully. Sometimes, one of the men would be invited to stay behind to continue the festivities after her parents went to bed and the others left. It wasn't uncommon for a girl to receive so much 'luck' on her birthday that she soon passed from maidenhood to motherhood.

Svetlana eventually fell in love with a thoughtful young man who brought a soothing cream for massaging her bottom with to her twentieth birthday party. He kindly returned the following morning to massage her bottom again and one thing led to another. When she became pregnant from him, many of the people who had spanked her on birthdays added to the bonus that she received from the township.




Her older sister, Caterin, worked in a large repair shop supplying the mechanics with parts and tools. Being still single, she also followed the custom of baring her bottom on her birthdays. After her shift, there was always a birthday party for her at which her batchelor coworkers and management would give her the customary good luck spanking.

When she finally became pregnant at age 28, all of these coworkers and management contributed to her bonus and she was pampered at work with easy jobs, willing help, a long maternity leave and great benefits.



Parents usually went up to bed early on their daughters birthdays - leaving them to celebrate with plenty of wine and the bachelors, they had invited, who continued to take leisurely turns applying more playful good luck slaps, pinches and tender caresses to their daughters uncovered behinds.

There are many rumors of maidens, who after having a little too much wine, wanted the gentlemen to pay attention to more than just their bottoms. These types of goings on were referred to as 'happy birthdays for all'.

When I turned 50, Ernie had a big celebration for me. Since some of my Eastern European relatives, that now live here would be attending, I knew I would be birthday spanked. I don't have a traditional spanking dress so I wore something appropriate for the occasion under my dress.
