I Was Spanked For A Bad Report Card

Back when I was growing up in school, the day report cards came out I always dreaded because if I had a bad grade I was always spanked. That held true for all the kids in the neighborhood. If the windows were open you heard the sounds of the belt hitting a bare bottom. It did not matter if grade school. high school and yes even in college
if you got a bad grade girl or boy , you were not sitting to well in your desks at school the next day.

No Charlie, my parents did not believe in physical punishment of any kind. I got sent to my room and couldn't go out or use the phone. That type of stuff. I did the same with my kids, and even at that we very rarely had to punish them. I can probably count on my hands the number of times they were sent to their rooms to change their attitude.

Thanks Charlie. I couldn't imagine mine every doing anything to make me raise my hands to them. I consider we were very lucky to have 4 wonderful adults

Bad reports were a problem to me too. I sill remember a 5/10 (D?) in Chemistry when I was 14 yo for which I earned a spanking and a C in Conduct when i was 17 yo that meant a bare bottom belting. Ouch! Thanks God I never got it during my college years, but my mates got it even in their early twenties.

One of my colleague was belted by his father for missing his exams in the student hostel. He was 21 yo. IT was benefic to him because he never failed an exam since then on.

My parents expect straight A's, so when I got a B in geometry, I got a really bad spanking with the wooden brush.

But I was getting spanked all semester for that class, on all of the low grades on tests and the like.
