At my home, growing up, my Mom spanked us. Over her knee with her bare hand while we were naked.
I had an older sister and a younger sister, and we were all summoned to watch whichever one (or more) of us was punished.
Whoever was spanked was usually given corner-time afterwards in the kitchen, while our Mom worked and sat at the table drinking her coffee.

@updown2020 If we did not attend then we were spanked for that latter again with all in attendance.. We were told that we could/should all learn from other's mistakes and seeing them punished for them..

@mrbuddhawannabe I would and did, though I witnessed very few visually, I did witness several audibly back in the days be for homes had central AC. Windows were open for cross ventilation as well as to allow natural light to counter the house, thereby eliminating the need to burn light during the day.
I (sometimes we) would hide in the bushes in hopes of seeing it but mostly we were able to overhear a spanking going on. I'd get as close to the window itself as I could to get the most out of the experience without being detached.
Then later I would catch up with the kid and ask a series of questions about their spankings which woukd eventually lead to the experiences with play spankings.
I would ask about the who, when, where, and HOW of their spanking experiences.
I would then move on to inquiring if they were ever engaged in spanking play.
The result was usually a "yes" when I asked if they wanted to be playfully spanked by me. Only about 10% of the time, I'd get a "no," and about half of them would eventually land over my knee. Most came back for more!! The best games were the private ones with just myself and the other boy/girl.
