I Think Misbehaved Children Should Get Spankings

Anyone ever get a hickory off a tree to give a good spanking with? I have my kids hate it but it’s quite affective on a misbehaving child’s bottom.

not a hickory switch but button willow and plum tree switches do VERY well indeed. They are sooooo whippy and bendy that they really impart an infernally hot BURNING sting on the bare bottom!

I use thin and flexible hazelnut switches. Bare from the waist down and always whipped until repentance.

Here people say the fresh cut switches of a hazel tree would be more suitable. I suppose switches are effective on a bare bum.

Plum tree switches were QUITE effective. They hurt like HELL and they take forever to break!

Hazel and willow do work nicely. I do prefer a good and proper rattan cane, though.
