I Was Spanked As A Teenager

People have asked how I came to be spanked again as a teenager so here goes to avoid repeating it .
I was a very naughty little girl and was regularly spanked up to the age of 10. Then it seems my behaviour improved and the spankings tailed off somewhat until I was 12 and mum thought she ought to stop spanking me altogether.
That turned out to be a big mistake as my behaviour deteriorated between the ages of 12 and 15 until I was always in trouble at school, always arguing with mum and my school work was going down the tubes. What's more I hated the sort of life I was living and longed for some correction. Mum tried but I just ignored things like grounding and other things she tried to do.
Until one day I came home from school with yet another detention. Mum looked at the detention slip and said something like, "I've a good mind to give you a spanking !" To which I replied , "Well why don't you then?"
Mum looked at me with the look of one who had had more than enough and told me to go and get the hairbrush from upstairs. I saw that my game was up and went and got it rather nervously and came downstairs to find mum sitting in the chair she used for spanking me as a kid.
She took the hairbrush and told me to get over her knee. I'll leave the rest to your imagination but to say that five minutes later I was in the corner with a right burning bum. It was the first time I'd been spanked for about three years and I couldn't believe how much it hurt.
Anyway after about 15 minutes mum told me I could come out the corner and held her arms out and I rushed into them. Funny mum might have just spanked me but I felt closer to her than I had done for years.
From then on I had regular trips across mums knee but my behaviour improved and so did my grades at school. I'm not saying it would work for everyone but I think it's due to my mother having the courage to discipline me like that that I made it to university.
As I say I'm not saying that it's the only way that it works for me and mum. We are closer than we've been for years despite the occasional application of hairbrush to my bum.
