We talk about it because we have been taken by surprise with changing times. Some people talk about old cars. We talk about old spankings.

It's like the TV show "Happy Days." We are nostalgic for an era that seems to have passed us by. What about "steampunk" or "Gothic" or other fashion interests? What do these things mean to Martin, who finds fault with other people's interests?

Plus of course, we might have children today who need discipline, and we want to know how things were done in the past to act as a guidepost.

We need tips on how to do spanking, to find out what works and what doesn't.

And the age-old question: Does Martin have any children of his own? How does he know so much about spanking, or about children? What is his great expertise, that he can tell us all how we're supposed to feel, and how we should live our lives?

At that age, children require a firm hand to guide them. And back in those days, parents still knew how to provide structure and discipline.

My mom spanked me more from age 16 to 19, than she did when I was younger. I was always over her knee, spanked with mom's hand , and on the seat of the pants, with only one exception. There was a rule strictly enforced by mom that said, you hitchhike, I spank. I hitched several rides , just prior to my 19th birthday.
