why are a lot of people now 'sexually motivated' or obsessed by sex

hyper sexual or over sexed is that a term? it just seems nowadays a lot of people are obsessed with sex, that dominates their mindset, their conversations, they're hyper sexual and eroticism seems to motivate their thoughts and conversations?

hope i'm making sense.

me, i have a high sex drive which i'm trying to curb or control...i don't like having a high sex drive and wish i didn't think about it a lot or indulge in pornography.....in my case, i have valid causes; i was sexually awakened at a very young age by sexually experimenting with my female cousins during the 80s.........then i unfortunately had other problems much later on in life,psychological problems & social problems, which meant i missed out on finding a steady girlfriend...even though i did have quite a lot of sex encounters with girls in my late teens.....but never a official relationship.

so there are valid causes for my high sex drive in my case, which i'm trying to do something about.

No different than people in the past, just in our society people often feel freer to express what they used to have to repress in the past.

@ChipmunkErnie yeah well i don't agree with it, i think people and our society is oversexed or obsessed by sex now, as i said, i'm trying to curb it.
