Cowboy and I had the strangest encounter today with a couple friends..

We were asked to join them (another couple) in “activities” and I’ve never even had a 3 person “activity” before anyway it was awkward and flattering but we declined 😅

After such an approach, can you stay friends with a couple? I mean, wouldn't it be awkward to be in their company from now on? I've wondered what would happen under such circumstances. Do you laugh it off, pretend nothing happened?

@Richard65 Good question. I never thought about that before. You're right, it probably would be a little awkward. But if you're really good friends then I'm sure you'd find away to move on. Something kinda similar happened with my wife and I with our best friends once. The four of us were drinking together one night and things got a little, let's just say, erotic. Nothing happened other than a little flashing of body parts. Sex was implied, but nothing happened. We still stayed good friends and continued to get together after that. It wasn't awkward at all. We just laughed it off. But....

There is a part 2 to this story. But it is another story. It happened a few years after this. If anyone is interested let me know.

@Jayghost well at least you all engaged in a little mutual erotic fun, rather than a complete refusal. It's the aftermath of such a refusal that I'd find awkward. One couple basically saying, "No, that's not something we want to do." I'm not sure there's any coming back from that.

@Richard65 very true. It could have been. Although what happened in part 2 of the story was extraordinary! You'd think, my wife especially, would have felt awkward afterwards but she never did. She loved her friend up to the day her friend died. Sad ending to this story. BOTH of them are no longer living any longer. He died a few years before she did. My wife and I still miss them both very much. 😢
