The way it was

When I was growing up, I often got corner time, even when I was well into my teens. I always knew if I was to get a spanking because on those occasion, I had to do the corner time with my backside bared. At least I didn't have to return to the corner after the spanking (or the strap when I was about 12/13yo and older), I was allowed to go to my bedroom.

@funjulie Would you say that you learned more from the spanking or from the cornertime? Could you have done without the spanking and then learned just from the reflection on what you might have had?

@funjulie The truth about light spankings or about cornertime may be one of those hard truths. The ones that we might wish or try to wish away! As a good SW friend says "If a spanking doesn't really, really sting it is not going to work. By "work" she has in mind provide an incentive to modify your behavior.

@DADDYDEAN well I would agree if the spanking did not hurt well then people might think well let’s be honest they will think that was nothing I will do it again.A spanking is suppose to send a message not to do it again or you will be spanked again.
