@Nexus Exactly. Having cataracts on both eyes, I magnified the picture, to get a closer look at her expression, and it looks to me like tears are welling up in her eyes and look how tightly she holds her mouth. She's crying silently, memories flooding her mind as she stares blankly out the window. I think she's waited and waited for her family to come visit her, but now she doesn't really hope anymore. She's come to accept the fact that they're not coming and it's just her and the cat, watching the snow fall and the world go by, in silence. She's feels forgotten, yet has resigned herself to the truth.
