Tampons can actually absorb orgasms

Tampons absorb all moisture they come into contact with. A tampon (“Angel Wings”) can absorb the bodily fluids secreted during an orgasm. The thin, slippery fluid produced by the mucous membranes during sexual arousal is easily absorbed by the tampon or pad, but thicker, more viscous fluids have a harder time penetrating a tampon’s tightly compressed cotton core. Instead, the fluid tends to form a layer on the surface. Sticky secretions can be pressed into and get stuck in the tampon’s grooves or “wings” when it is squeezed by the vaginal walls. When the vaginal walls move or are squeezed together, the fluid is pressed into the channels and folds of the material.

Thick or sticky discharge (such as that produced during multiple orgasms) is absorbed more slowly than thin fluids. It therefore often settles in the grooves on the tampon’s surface first.

Strong and well-trained pelvic floor muscles can squeeze the tampon with great force, pushing sticky discharge deep and firmly into the material’s grooves.
When I have an orgasm, my pelvic floor muscles contract in powerful, rhythmic contractions. If the muscles are naturally strong, this pressure becomes very intense. The strong muscles compress the tampon’s structure from the sides. The August tampon’s longitudinal pleats and grooves are then compressed like an accordion.
The discharge becomes “trapped”: The sticky discharge on the surface or inside the vagina is forcefully pressed into the cotton fibers and folds. When the muscles then relax, the discharge can remain firmly trapped within the material.
