Under the counter porn postcards was a well developed business by this time. Illegal but lucrative.

While nude models ( mostly, but not exclusively female ) posed artistically and classically was the norm, this example was a niche.
A woman dressed in everyday wear, exposing a breast.

The appeal that men could imagine this was a woman they came across in daily life, such as in the office, shop, café, or on the street.

This image reminded me of a very racey novel I read my youth .
A young woman in London, circa 1910, working in domestic service.
A live-in servant, housemaid. On a pittance of a wage, she saw a card in a shop window.
‘ Photographic models wanted , Hours to suit , excellent pay”

She scribbled the address down, after hesitating for days, she wrote to inquire.

The reply led to her starting a covert career as a model—a significant risk.

The girl, Maude, eventually left her menial job and could afford to undergo training for an office position.
I wish I had kept the book—it had great detail and was thought-provoking. , in parts very erotic .
