Sappho Is A Pain In The Butt part 2.

ravel.

He tried to step down from the root, but his legs had turned to water. The world tilted, a dizzying swirl of green and brown, and he found himself leaning heavily into her. Sappho didn't recoil; instead, she stepped into his space, her movements a seamless blend of care and command. She guided his arms back through the sleeves of his shirt, dressing him with a maternal precision that contrasted sharply with the brutality of the last twenty minutes.

"Steady now," she murmured, her voice regaining that silken, business-like quality.

She reached down to retrieve his pants from the dirt. With a firm, steadying hand on his shoulder, she helped him navigate the treacherous journey of pulling the heavy fabric back over his hips. The movement was agony; every shift of the fabric against his scorched skin felt like a fresh application of heat. Once the pants were settled, she reached for the black nylon belt. Thurgood watched, his vision still slightly blurred, as she threaded the webbing through the loops and cinched it tight. The click of the buckle sounded final—a closing of the ledger.

Sappho’s left hand clamped onto his waist, not as a lover, but as a guide directing a wounded animal. She steered him back toward the hot pink Hummer, her grip the only thing keeping Thurgood from dissolving into the forest floor. When they reached the vehicle, she didn't make him climb into the passenger seat. Instead, she reached back and slammed the rear seats forward into a flat, expansive plane of upholstery.

"Lay down," she commanded, her voice regaining that playful, predatory edge. "Flat lines. I’m not a monster; I won't have you bouncing on those bruises the whole way back."

Thurgood lowered himself onto the flat surface with a muffled groan, his body trembling. The relative coolness of the fabric was a mercy, though the sheer weight of his own inflammation made every inch of his backside feel as if it were pulsing in time with a distant drum. As the Hummer glided back toward the city, the rhythmic hum of the tires served as a lullaby for his exhausted mind, transporting him from the raw wilderness of the woods to the structured concrete of the DC beltway.

The transition back to the city was a blur of gray and green until a stark, white-brick apartment building rose up to meet them. Sappho parked with a decisive jerk of the wheel and circled back to the rear of the car. She helped him out, her movements now strangely cozy, almost tender, despite the fact that he was walking with a stiff, wide-legged gait. Every step was a reminder of her handiwork; every shift of his hips was an ache that radiated from the center of his scorched skin.

The apartment was a shrine to curated eccentricity, a place where high-end minimalism collided with a whimsical, almost childlike obsession with fruit and autumn. Sappho guided him through the living area, her arm locked firmly around his waist to compensate for the erratic, gingery steps he was forced to take. Every time his hip joint shifted, Thurgood felt a fresh wave of heat bloom across his backside, a vivid reminder that he was currently a walking casualty of her sovereignty.

She steered him into a bedroom that felt like a fever dream of a boutique hotel. In the center of the room sat a bed with a duvet cover featuring a sprawling, stylized pattern of pumpkins in various shades of burnt orange and gold. With a final, decisive pivot, Sappho eased him down onto the surface. The fabric was cool and crisp, providing an immediate, blissful contrast to the radiating fire of his skin. Thurgood let out a long, shuddering exhale, sinking into the mattress as the tension finally began to leak out of his muscles.

Sappho leaned over him, her violet eyes shimmering with a mixture of affection and amusement. She pressed a quick, playful kiss to his forehead, her scent—a blend of expensive vanilla and something sharp, like ozone—lingering in the air.

"Now don't you go anywhere, cutie pie!" she chirped, her voice returning to that bright, commanding melody. "I'll be right back with something for that poor, sore ass of yours!"

The silence that followed Sappho’s exit was not empty; it was a canvas for the domestic symphony of her movements. Thurgood lay motionless on the pumpkin-patterned duvet, his senses heightened by the lingering fire in his skin. He heard the soft, rhythmic thud of her footsteps crossing the pineapple-designed carpet, a sound that faded as she transitioned into the kitchen. Then came the percussion of her preparations: the heavy clunk of a cabinet door swinging open, followed by the dull, authoritative thud of something substantial being set upon a granite counter.

He listened to the hum of the refrigerator being breached and the subsequent clatter of items being retrieved. There was a rhythmic thumping—the sound of something being crushed or beaten into submission—followed by the steady, glugging stream of liquid being poured. A sharp, metallic *clink* echoed as a spoon or utensil struck porcelain, a cold sound that contrasted with the heat still pulsing in his glutes. Finally, the low drone of the microwave filled the air, counting down a thirty-second interval of anticipation before the sharp *beep* signaled that the alchemy was complete.

Then he heard the fridge opening again and something being put in it. A minute later, the refrigerator opened up once again, said object was taken out, and Thorogood listen to Sappho’s footsteps head back toward her bedroom

When the door finally opened, Sappho didn't just walk back in; she glided, carrying a vibrant blue and yellow fruit-patterned salad bowl that looked entirely out of place for the contents it held. It was brimming with a thick, creamy buttermilk mixture.

"Secret weapon," she announced, the bowl held aloft like a trophy.

"I used my meat tenderizer to crush the butter into submission before whisking it into the milk. Pure, chilled luxury for a very scorched backside."

Thurgood didn't have the words to respond; he only had the sensation of his own skin screaming for relief. He watched, mesmerized and desperate, as Sappho dipped her hand directly into the mixture. She scooped up a generous, creamy heap of the buttermilk and, with a precision that felt almost sadistic in its slowness, dumped it directly onto the center of his inflammation.

The shock of the cold hit him like a physical blow. Thurgood’s eyes snapped shut, and he let out a loud, guttural moan, his fingers clawing into the fabric of the pumpkin duvet. The sensation was an immediate, icy erasure of the fire, a soothing void that felt like heaven descending upon his skin.

Hearing the raw sound of his relief, Sappho let out a melodic, teasing laugh.

“Oh, you like that, do you?" she purred, her voice dripping with a playful sort of cruelty.

Sappho didn’t stop at the first application. She reached back into the blue and yellow bowl, scooping up another heavy mound of the chilled mixture, letting it slide across his skin with a slow, deliberateness that felt like a tease. She worked the buttermilk in with a rhythmic, circular motion, her palms gliding over the trauma she had created. She could feel the heat of his inflammation fighting against the ice of the cream, a volatile chemistry that made Thurgood shiver violently. She took her time, prolonging the transition from agony to ecstasy, savoring the way his body practically hummed beneath her touch. Every time he tried to arch into her hand, seeking more of the relief, she would shift her grip, forcing him to wait for the next cool wave.

It took seven full minutes of methodical rubbing before the bowl was finally empty, leaving behind only a thin, translucent residue of fat and milk. The fire in his skin had been dampened to a dull, radiating throb. As she withdrew her hands, she gave his backside one last, gentle pat—a gesture so sudden and unexpected that Thurgood flinched, a sharp intake of breath escaping him.

“There we go,” Sappho murmured, her voice returning to that poised, corporate sweetness that belied the violence of the afternoon.

“Just rest here, honey. I’ll be watching TV in the living room. When you feel you’re ready to come out, let me know and I’ll take you home.” Sappho paused at the threshold, her violet eyes scanning his exhausted form with a mixture of pity and amusement.

“Since you didn’t look like you had a car—and if I had to guess, you’re a bus or subway kind of man—you’re lucky I’m feeling generous with my mileage.”

Thurgood let out a ragged sigh, his face buried in the pumpkin duvet. The suggestion of a commute felt like a distant, cruel joke.

"Or, if you want," Sappho added, her voice trailing back as she paused in the doorway, "I can play another game with you. One that I promise you is far more pleasurable than the one we just finished."

Thurgood bolted upright, the movement sending a jolt of lightning through his scorched backside. He looked at her in genuine shock, his eyes wide and blinking, trying to reconcile the image of the woman who had just systematically dismantled his dignity with the playful, shimmering entity now teasing him from the hall.

The shock of her offer hung in the air, thick and heavy, until a melodic, bubbling giggle broke the tension. Sappho didn't answer him with words; instead, she pivoted on her heel and began to retreat toward the hallway. She walked with a rhythmic, exaggerated sway of her hips, a lively, undulating motion that seemed to mock the very idea of stability. Thurgood watched her go, his mind racing to keep up with her volatility, the sight of her confidence a sharp contrast to the trembling exhaustion of his own limbs.

Just as she reached the threshold, she paused and cast a final, shimmering glance over her shoulder. With a playful wink and a flourish of her wrist, she blew him a theatrical kiss—a tiny, invisible projectile of affection and power that seemed to land right in the center of his confusion. Then, with a decisive *click*, the door closed behind her, sealing him into the quiet, pumpkin-scented sanctuary of the bedroom.
