Ghost stories
I still remember that first night. I was in a country I had never been to before. My job took me from place to place, but never really gave me too many chances to take anything in. My time was either spent working or travelling, as well as fighting to get rest in between. Something stirred in me, and I woke up to catch the sun still barely up, overlooking the sea and a distant light tower getting ready to light up the coast. I decided to take a walk, still completely dressed as I was earlier in the day. My hair was a little messy and my face had stubble, but it seemed to work for me. The weather was warm, but there was a nice breeze with a little bit of cool air coming off of the ocean. It was nice.
I walked and kept walking till the sun went down completely, and the path was lit up by lights from the local nightlife. I must have been somewhat in a daze because, before I knew it, I wasn’t sure where I was any longer. I continued walking until something drew me to walk into this little place and ask for directions. It was scenic: the walls were made of limestone, it was dimly lit, and it was occupied by couples oblivious to anyone else’s conversation.
That is where I saw you for the first time. You wore the perfect red silk dress, paired with nails to match it. You had long, dark, wavy hair and curves in all the right places. I noticed you wearing high heels that said you were looking to disappoint anyone who walked up to you. It must have worked too, because you were left alone at that time. I don’t think I ever told you this, but my heart might have stopped for a split second when I first caught your attention.
I walked up to the bar hoping to get directions. Normally, I have a bit of confidence, but right then and there, I had none. You must have known how I felt, but you didn’t seem to mind. I’ll never forget how you told me it would cost me a drink and a dance to get the information I wanted. I said I could ask someone else, and you said they wouldn’t be of help to me. I agreed, and the time flew by. Conversation had never been so easy. We could have talked forever about anything and everything.
We eventually ended up alone, walking along the stone road next to the beach underneath a moon so bright that it drowned out any chance to see the stars. You told me I owed you that dance, and I said I didn’t know how. That wasn’t good enough, and you led the moment, pressing your body up close to mine. Time seemed to have stood still, or at least my focus was only on you. Resting your head on my chest, you must have felt my heart. You lifted your head and looked me in the eyes, seeing how true I felt. You gave me a kiss, pressing your lips to mine. I could still taste the last drink you had. You pulled away and took me by the hand, leading me into the night.
I didn’t ask questions. I didn’t need to. I knew that as long as I was with you, I was where I wanted to be.
It wasn’t long before we made it back to my room. I trusted completely, not knowing a single direction we were going. Your eyes said everything to me. There wasn’t a single word that needed to be spoken. The lights were off, but the windows were open, letting in just enough light to let me see your figure as you slipped out of your dress. The chill in the air grew a bit stronger, and you pressed your body against mine once more, but this time, only my clothes were in the way.
My arms wrapped around you, pulling you into my body, and I kissed you with deep passion. With one hand on your upper back and one hand on your lower back, you were locked into place with me. I lifted you up, pressing you against the wall. You tightened your legs around my waist and wrapped your arms around my head, pulling me further into you. My hands groped and squeezed your butt, holding you up. My lips only escaped yours to travel down to your neck. I turned toward the bed and laid you down, then took off the rest of my clothing.
You waited with anticipation for my touch. With your legs hanging off the bed, I kneeled down to kiss my way up your legs. Every breath you made gave me an invitation to get closer. Finally making it to where I could taste you, I was rewarded when you took a deep gasp and pulled on my hair, pushing me further into you. Your body moved and reacted to every swirl of the tongue. I couldn’t take it any longer. I had to have you right then. Every sound you made was driving me more and more wild.
I moved you further onto the bed so I could join you. My body was big enough to completely cover yours. My wide, broad shoulders were left with marks as your fingers dug into me. I rested one of your legs over my shoulder and one hand on your neck to brace myself. We both wanted to leave marks on each other just to send a message to everyone else that we were off-limits from here on out. I thrust deep and hard into you, shaking your body with the bed. You matched each thrust equally with your own movements toward me. I watched your body in the moonlight, turning me on even more and making me harder for you.
I slowed down and let your leg hit the bed. I wanted to be closer to you, closer inside you, so I covered your body with my own. I wrapped my arms under your arms and body, cradling your head and really pulling you into me. My lips and teeth were on your neck, feeling your breasts against my chest. You could hear my breathing in your ears, and I could hear yours in mine. Your hips moved into me as we released together.
We lay there recovering, our bodies wrapped around each other. I don’t know when I drifted to sleep, but when I woke up, you were gone. It wasn’t until I got home that I found a piece of paper in my pocket with your number, and that was just the start of everything from there on out.
