Little Kindle of Horrors

Last few days been feeding my kindle and it's all amounted to the price of the Shawscope box set arriving probably on Monday. The right thing to do is to return that set, so there's minimal disruption to the balance, and i am definitely in a reading phase now, being in a phase means it seems like that will be it for the rest of my life. Looking back though spells out a different story.

However i want to publish an account of these kindles, starting from the most recent additions.

1. Philip Fracassi's 2 short story collections - they sound amazing!!!! Anxiety inducing terror!

2. Hell House

3. Frankenstein - it was free!!!!

4. Laird Barron's 1st 2 short story collections, his early material is highly lauded like Fracassi, and Fracassi even dedicated one to Laird.

5. Caitlin R Kiernan - a best of collection

6. Five Michael McDowells

7. Arthur Machen & Algernon Blackwood collections for dirt cheap

8. Four Robert Aikman collections

9. Three Shirley Jacksons

and TEN cheapies which i won't type out here, but Burnt Offerings is among them will definitely be getting to that soon.

It feels like this is it, i will not even open the order when it comes, i will get the thing to print and affix it on the package, a few bucks for postage and wammo all is right with the world.

This is now a time of dreamy spooky reads, Aikman, Laird, Fracassi and Kiernan being the featured stars. With Steve Roach's Immersion music to accompany, it's the way things are going, becoming mentally shifted in another direction, cut off in many respects, volitionally more so than hitherto. Like floating in space, absolute cosmicality, aloof and profoundly estranged by whatever is going on in the world, so that when there's just a sliver of whatever it is, i'm immune to it and i'm all like gahhhh, spaced out on da stuff.
