The concern I hear the most here is that we may 2/4/6 years years again from flipping all red again.
Unless the democrats carry out long needed reforms, but it remains to be seen if they have the numbers, political will and guts to do it.
No more "we go high when they go low" bs would be a good start.

@Elessar I will say that I think one reason that Trump was able to return to power was because Joe Biden mental issues let a very much more liberal Harris to basically lead behind the curtains, or put in her California liberals which went over board with what they tried to push, and then Harris backdooring her way into the spot.
Where I think a moderate would of done a lot better. Like Biden was before losing his mind.
It all depends on wins the primaries... which I still see as one of America's biggest issues...
The primaries give us extreme choices, that might struggle a lot more when a general election allows all to vote...
I think Democrats need to make sure they don't go too liberal and then they might keep power longer.

@sstronaut It had nothing to do with Biden's health, it was Garland that ultimately failed (by design, and if you still wonder why, he's a republican), and also the trial about the stolen document didn't need to be dragged for four years.
There's no such thing as too liberal, the problem of the democrat party is that it's infiltrated with closeted republicans that go out of their way to protect MAGA while cosplaying as "centrists". These people are the extremists, and these people need to be expelled from the party or you'll be back with Trump/JD/whoever they'll rally around next even as early as 2028.
As I said, look at Hungary: no fear to indict and convict the previous leadership wherever there's evidence of wrongdoing, no fear to shut down the propaganda channels (the public TV literally paused their broadcast to apologize for lying to the public for the past 20 yrs), no hesitation to carry out the reforms and to close the loopholes that had allowed the far right to take over their country.
If it'll be another round of sitting on their @ss for 2/4 years while all the trials with evidence beyond reasonable doubt get delayed/halted by Republican judges, while extending olive branches and "we go high when they go low" nonsense, sorry but the USA won't get any of its credibility back, especially internationally.

@Elessar All true. The real proof of this "victory" is what happens next..😷
You guys gotta stop voting celebrities into important roles like this.
It might feel "Cool" to say that Trump is President... but look at what he was like when you gave Biden a try. I'll be surprised if he leaves peacefully this time, too.
I don't know what yet - but my gut is telling me that he's going to do something to keep the news off the next President you elect... whoever they may be.

It took America 6 years and a massive rise in your fuel prices to wake up. Please dont expect a standing ovation. And he is still President..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman I don't expect any ovation, just a little hope, not even a lot of hope, just some time and some hope

@sstronaut OK.. Personally you have my thoughts and prayers. But that and $8 will buy you a cup of coffee soon enough...Look. Its a start. But the kind of start where it feels good that you stopped hitting yourself on the side of your head with a brick.. I wont depress you at this point by reminding people just how deep the doo doo is around you all..😷
