‘Mask has COME OFF fully': Trump NOT hiding embrace of Putin anymore

[media=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XojUQPld7_8]

The first tanker carrying Russian diesel fuel to the United States since 2022 is expected to arrive in New York in the coming weeks, but its 40,000-ton cargo will barely register at the pump. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is attempting to blame Ukraine for rising inflation and gas prices, instead of his administration's war with Iran. Michael McFaul, former U.S. ambassador to Russia, joins Morning Joe to discuss his new Foreign Affairs essay, "Putin’s Strategy Is Working," which highlights the Trump administration’s approach to Russia and Ukraine and argues that recent U.S. actions are helping Putin.

My comments:

It’s never been a secret—Demented Donnie is Putin’s Puppet. What makes it sooooo funny now is that half of the MAGAts running for election or re-election are stumping on the Democrats being “Communists.”

Funny, none of the Democratic candidates have ever exchanged “love letters” with fratricidal KJU, courted Putin or Xi, or embraced MBS…

I thibk I can see the MAGA claim, although hyperbolic campaign sloganeering.

Vladimir Putin was a loyal Communist when a KGB officer, but he and his regime now are hard-line Right.

So hard-line Republicans admiring Putin and calling anyone even slightly Left of them "Communist" has a sort of logic even though desperately exaggerrated.

The real irony is President Trump cosying up to North Korea and China as well as Russia while attacking Iran; though those four countries exist in an unlikely alliance despite their so utterly opposing ideologies, and all four utterly opposed to democracy.

Essentially, all four see Europe and the USA as a common enemy, so a US President flattering and supporting at least some of them is a very welcome gift.

Notably the Russo-Sino frontier across the R. Amur was the world's most heavily fortified when both countries were Communist. They did not trust each other. Now, their links even extend to railways linking China's network to the Trans-Siberian Railway.
