The Republican candidate won 32 states in 1968, 49 in 1972 and 27 in 1976.

Was 1972 an anomaly?

The Yankees won 99 games in 2022, 82 in 2023 and 94 in 2024.

Was 1982 an anomaly?

The Miami Dolphins were undefeated in 1972. No NFL team did that before or since. Was 1972 an anomaly?

These are all low sample size events.
