In just 13 days, our nation will hold one of the most consequential elections in decades.

The future of our nation is at stake. America has drifted far from the Biblical values that once stood as our rock-solid foundation. In so many ways, we have turned our back on God, and the results have been devastating, as we have witnessed the moral decay of America.

Our dangerous plight reminds me of Isaiah’s warning to apostate Israel, which had abandoned allegiance to Almighty God and instead, adopted the godless culture of surrounding nations. “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20).

if we continue down this rebellious path, our nation will reap the fruit of blatant immorality that shakes its fist in the face of God. The Bible says, we reap what we sow. It is a battle between good and bad policies. I truly believe it is the last chance to save our country.

We are in a spiritual warfare, as well. This country is in moral decay and I'm sure Satan wants to see it go further down the drain. America has to stand up for its rights and not allow any party to dominate us. We cannot afford to support any party that wants to see us homeless, poor or dead.

It is imperative that we, as believers, take emotion out of our voting decisions. If we are truly following God and obeying Him by doing our civic duty to vote, then we must discount the emotional part of politics and elections, by kicking them to curb, and instead vote biblical values and take back our country.

Our cities, our state, and our nation needs us to take this responsibility seriously.

We should carefully examine and outline the positions of the presidential candidates and their parties, on key moral issues and examine the difference in the platforms of both political parties.

The Bible clearly teaches that governments are ordained by God, to restrain evil and enable righteousness to flourish (Romans 13:3-4). We should carefully pray and vote for candidates who best align with and stand for Biblical principles.

Above all, believers across this nation are urged to pray for God’s merciful, providential hand to turn our nation back to Him. For Almighty God to heal our land, we must first cry out to Him in repentance. We can’t expect God to bless America, while godlessness runs rampant in our land. My hope for our nation’s future, remains in Christ alone.

2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

America needs all - praying, voting, and engaging. Our nation needs Christians who vote Biblical values, not personalities. In doing so, we can be instrumental in changing America for the better.

@IM5688 Good job! I agree with all you have said but don't forget... in the Bible, there are certain examples where holy men of God have asked God to change his mind about certain things, and it is recorded that he did, in certain cases. The verse that catches my attention is, 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

That verse tells me that God can change his mind if people will humble themselves and pray. He has done it before. If he was not willing to consider our prayers, I don't believe that verse would be in the Bible. There may be more to that verse than meets the eye. I'm thinking that yes, God can change his mind and he will give people a chance to be saved, but that does not necessarily change prophecy. See what I mean? Everything that has been prophesied, shall come to pass but God is not willing that any should perish. I think that verse shows that God is merciful, yet being omnipotent, he is naturally already going to know that America did not decide to repent. That does not mean he made up their mind for them. It just means he knows the outcome. But notice he says if my people will humble themselves before God and repent, that he shall save them. He is their greatest and only hope right now and I praise God that people can still change their hearts and minds to follow Jesus. At least they can do that, the prophecy shall be fulfilled. America has condemned itself. But thank God that those who trust in him shall be saved from the wrath to come. 1st Thessalonians 1:10. I pray people will take advantage of that.

America is already under judgment and I don't see people changing their ways, because in the last days, the Bible says that more evil shall prevail and hearts shall harden. While certain individuals may change their mind and wake up and repent just in time, and I pray they do, prophecy shall still be fulfilled. Man has become way too morally decayed.

The most prominent example in the Bible where God appears to change his mind about judging a nation, is in the story of Jonah and the Ninevites; when the people of Nineveh repented, God decided not to destroy them, demonstrating a change of heart, based on their response to his warning.

When the Israelites worshipped the golden calf, God threatened to destroy them, but Moses interceded and pleaded with God to have mercy, seemingly causing God to change his mind.

Jeremiah 18:
This passage uses the imagery of a potter to illustrate God's ability to change his plans based on the people's actions.

Another thing to consider is that God said he will save his people from the wrath to come, by the rapture. That's a promise. While our nation is under judgment for sure according to prophecy, those who call upon the Lord shall be saved from the wrath to come. And that is none other than the tribulation period. Right now he is holding back his wrath, hoping and praying that many will take this opportunity to turn to him before he comes back. The rapture does usher in the tribulation period. And then his wrath shall be let loose for those who cursed and mocked him. Those who hated him and wanted nothing to do with him nor his plan of salvation and therefore have condemned themselves to an eternity without heaven. That was their choice and God will honor that.
