In just 13 days, our nation will hold one of the most consequential elections in decades.

The future of our nation is at stake. America has drifted far from the Biblical values that once stood as our rock-solid foundation. In so many ways, we have turned our back on God, and the results have been devastating, as we have witnessed the moral decay of America.

Our dangerous plight reminds me of Isaiah’s warning to apostate Israel, which had abandoned allegiance to Almighty God and instead, adopted the godless culture of surrounding nations. “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20).

if we continue down this rebellious path, our nation will reap the fruit of blatant immorality that shakes its fist in the face of God. The Bible says, we reap what we sow. It is a battle between good and bad policies. I truly believe it is the last chance to save our country.

We are in a spiritual warfare, as well. This country is in moral decay and I'm sure Satan wants to see it go further down the drain. America has to stand up for its rights and not allow any party to dominate us. We cannot afford to support any party that wants to see us homeless, poor or dead.

It is imperative that we, as believers, take emotion out of our voting decisions. If we are truly following God and obeying Him by doing our civic duty to vote, then we must discount the emotional part of politics and elections, by kicking them to curb, and instead vote biblical values and take back our country.

Our cities, our state, and our nation needs us to take this responsibility seriously.

We should carefully examine and outline the positions of the presidential candidates and their parties, on key moral issues and examine the difference in the platforms of both political parties.

The Bible clearly teaches that governments are ordained by God, to restrain evil and enable righteousness to flourish (Romans 13:3-4). We should carefully pray and vote for candidates who best align with and stand for Biblical principles.

Above all, believers across this nation are urged to pray for God’s merciful, providential hand to turn our nation back to Him. For Almighty God to heal our land, we must first cry out to Him in repentance. We can’t expect God to bless America, while godlessness runs rampant in our land. My hope for our nation’s future, remains in Christ alone.

2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

America needs all - praying, voting, and engaging. Our nation needs Christians who vote Biblical values, not personalities. In doing so, we can be instrumental in changing America for the better.

While I totally agree with,
"The future of our nation is at stake. America has drifted far from the Biblical values that once stood as our rock-solid foundation. In so many ways, we have turned our back on God, and the results have been devastating, as we have witnessed the moral decay of America."
I also agree that, "It is imperative that we, as believers, take emotion out of our voting decisions." "We must discount the emotional part of politics and elections, by kicking them to curb, and instead vote biblical values and take back our country."
"Our nation needs Christians who vote Biblical values, not personalities."

All of what you said is absolutely true and I believe we should do our best in whatever we can to bring this about however, looking at it from another view, the terrible things that are happening to this country must happen and are suppose to happen.

Do you remember when we discussed whether or not Judas was a believer and went to heaven after he betrayed Jesus? We agreed that Judas did believe and even though he betrayed Christ, it was his purpose and God's plan for him to do so.

The Bible speaks of the many things that must come about before the return of Christ. The Bible tells us of every nation rising up against Israel, nation against nation, brother against brother, famines, earthquakes, etc, etc. The Bible also tells us that we will eventually become a one world gov't. Yes, we are entering into, (or are already into,) the End Times.

The lands to the utmost North, (Russia,) shall rise up against Israel. The lands of the Eastern nations, (Asia,) shall rise up against Israel. And the land of the Cushites, (Africa,) will rise up against Israel. (Of course, we believers all know that these nations will lose to Israel after much sufferage.)
The point I am trying to make here is this. All of these nations will go against Israel. Now who is Israel's strongest and best ally? The United States is. So, if anyone wants to go up against Israel, who would they attack and wipe out first? The United States. With the US out of the way, Israel would seemingly be left on its own to fend for themselves is the way their attackers would look at things, but we know that Israel will survive, but the US will not.

So, our nation will become weaker and will actually be part of the one world gov't that will usher in the End Times. These things you mentioned above, (moral decay, turning our backs on God, etc.) all need to happen as it mentioned in Bible prophecy.
@IM5688 Won't interject but to clarify Israel refers to the body of believers in the New Testament, not the modern Country/ Nation State.
@BritishFailedAesthetic for my sake can you please clarify your statement. I'm not sure what you're saying here and is there a verse to back up what you state? I'm trying to learn here, not question your integrity.
@IM5688 can you please give me verses on your statements here? I believe you but I would like to see the verses as well and please in the future.
Referring to below.

The lands to the utmost North, (Russia,) shall rise up against Israel. The lands of the Eastern nations, (Asia,) shall rise up against Israel. @LadyGrace Sorry, it was a non essential statement and I've got to stop doing that.

From my study bible and view, it represents Israel as the believers rather than the Country.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Actually, If I am correct in my thinking, "Israel" refers to both believers and the country. The Old Testament Hebrews became the Israelites. who practiced what we now call Judaism. The land of Israel was given to the Hebrews by God which eventually became the country of Israel.
@IM5688 I just wish I knew which verse it was that is interpreted as both people and Israel. I want to study that. I was thinking it was strictly talking about the country of Israel. But I don't know what context the verse you are referring to, is.
@BritishFailedAesthetic that's okay. I just wish I knew which verse it was that is interpreted as both people and Israel. I want to study that.
@IM5688 Will all of Israel be saved? As many Israelis do not believe on Christ and treatment of Christians in Israel isn't great.
@LadyGrace Sorry, not trying to force my opinion.
@BritishFailedAesthetic in the beginning of the battle of Armageddon there will be no "saved"....that is, "born again" Israelites there, as the rapture has taken place. All believers in Christ are in heaven, which ushers in the tribulation. However, those left behind will have a chance to repent, as there will be 144, 000 Jewish evangelists that shall witness to the Israelites during the tribulation period and many shall get saved, but then the battle will be so bad, millions will die. As a whole, the Bible states that Israel shall be saved.
@BritishFailedAesthetic I know that. I know that very well. We're just discussing. You raise very very important questions.
@BritishFailedAesthetic you raised some very important questions I hadn't really considered. I had to look it up and here's what I found. I thank you for that. I want to get this right. Straight from God's word.

The name Israel is used collectively in the Bible to denote God’s chosen people, the descendants of Jacob, as well as the geographical region God grants to his chosen people.

Who is known as Israel?

Jacob, son of Isaac and Rebekah, is given the name Israel in Gen 32. Alone in the wilderness, Jacob is beset by a man with whom he wrestles throughout the night. Jacob tells the man he will not let him go until he blesses Jacob, and the man replies that he shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel (yisra’el), because “you struggled [sarita] with God [‘elohim] and with humans and have prevailed.” The Hebrew roots for “struggle” (srh) and the name of God (el) seemingly combine to form Jacob’s new name, Israel. Jacob’s new name is reiterated by God in Gen 35:10 when he tells Jacob, “no longer shall you be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name.” Both names are used interchangeably from this point in the text.

Following the death of Jacob, the name Israel passes on to his descendants who form the twelve tribes of Israel. At that point, we find the designations “Israelite,” “sons of Israel” (bene yisra’el), and “house of Israel” (beit yisra’el) used to describe God’s chosen people. The name Israelis apt not only for describing the wrestling match between God and Jacob, but also the unique relationship the Israelites have with their God. The Israelites actively engage in dialogue and confrontation with God throughout the Hebrew Bible, and many of the biblical stories are born out of their struggle with God.

Where is Israel?

The name Israel is also used to describe the geographical region promised to Abraham and his descendants in Gen 15: “from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates.” Following the Exodus from Egypt the Israelites conquer and settle in a small area of this land (Num 34) before expanding their reach in the books of Joshua and Judges.
@LadyGrace Thanks for this sister. It was actually completely unnecessary for me to raise this point as it is non-essential and contentious.
@IM5688 I had to look all this up to make sure I had it right, straight from the Bible. The name Israel is used collectively in the Bible to denote God’s chosen people, the descendants of Jacob, as well as the geographical region God grants to his chosen people.

@BritishFailedAesthetic oh I think it's crucial that we know these things. Especially regarding God's chosen people. What happens in the end times and prophecy must be discussed so that people can make informed decisions. It is crucial.

@LadyGrace Referring to below.

Check out this link: https://www.crosswalk.com/church/pastors-or-leadership/christianity-questions-answers/gog-and-magog-who-are-they-and-what-do-they-have-to-do-with-the-last-days.html

Biblical reference: Ezekial 38.
Also Revelation 20:8 clearly identifies “Gog and Magog” as “the nations which are in the four corners of the earth”—in other words, everyone who follows Satan and war against God and His people in the latter days, at the end of time.

Persia is a reference to modern-day Iran.
Cush describes present-day Ethiopia and the black nations of Central Africa.
Put and Libya are located in northern Africa.
Gomer is the people who settled in Germany.
Beth Togarmah is Asia Minor and Turkey.
Note: these nations will basically align with Russia
@IM5688 Whether we agree or not, Crosswalk is pretty based.
@IM5688 Gog is identified with Russia. In the Bible, Gog and Magog are enemies of God's people who wage war against God at the end of the world. In the Book of Ezekiel, Gog is a ruler from the land of Magog. Some reasons why Gog is associated with Russia include:

In the Bible, nations are often described as coming from the far north, and a straight line north of Israel lands in Russia.

The word roche is used in Ezekiel chapter 38, and some believe it refers to Russia geographically.

In modern-day equivalents of Gog, Magog, Meshek, Tubal, Gomer, Beth-Togarmah, Put, and Cush in Ezekiel 38, Gog Means = Man on top, Prince of Rosh, or simply Leader. Magog = Is the ancient name of the Russians.
