The base doesn't care whether it's true or not. As far as they're concerned, Trump said it happened, therefore it did.

@SW-User Actually there is more than expected fracturing of tRUMP’s base, albeit it’s still pretty low. There are subgroups of his base (particularly youth & women) who are peeling off—not that they will necessarily vote against him, but rather not vote at all.

But, again, elections are won on the margins—and those margins favor Harris/Walz.
