I keep it civil, but the reality is that the way people vote personally effects those I care about and myself. Religion and politics aren’t just awkward conversation topic we agree or disagree on. For people who ‘don’t care/are fine with whatever’ either way, it’s because they have the luxury of not being personally effected by the outcomes, so they don’t understand what the big deal is. It’s only ‘just a difference of opinion’ if they don’t vote or ever aim to influence the vote of others. Even then, the permitting of something (willful inaction) is still enabling the things they allow to go on.
