Would you be surprised if someone tried to assassinate a US President?

Just to be clear, I strongly discourage violence... and hope no one commit to any act of violence...

But I just had a realization that if someone assassinated one of the last two US Presidents, there would be a lot of jerks out that that would probably say something like "it's about time", and not be upset about it...

Just a sad realization of where American politics is right now :(

Let me be clear here bud by just saying that, just uttering this as a question on a public opinion-based website can garner you a whole hell of a lot of attention in short order by certain people who spend their days in a federal offices looking for stuff like this, and that's a no-shitter. If "I" were you, I might consider taking this one down.
