My 4 favourite teas
My choice this morning: Formosa Oolong.
Its a fermented tea in between black and green from the mountains of Taiwan. It has low tannins so can be drunk black. It's refreshing and stimulating.
Japanese Cherry tea: A mix of Senchu green tea with Japanese cherry. It relaxes you to the point of falling asleep if you drink enough of it. Some varients are made with Cherry blossom, but often using cherry itself. Sweet and soothing. My favourite.
Lapsang: A black tea roasted and smoked over a pine fire, it tastes smokey and piney and is a perfect winter tea. Complex flavours and nothing else like it.
Matcha: The healthiest tea in the world, pure green tea made with the entire leaf. Refreshing and warm, you stir it in an M shape with a special tool until it foams, or have it as a latte.
