Large-scale political violence in the US is basically inevitable.
The only question they're fighting over now is which side will control the levers of power when it happens. That's all politics is these days.

Sadly, I have to agree with you that political violence is inevitable. And last night Trump continued to drum it up by calling Speaker Pelosi "an animal", just as Hitler referred to Jews as rats and animals. More right-wing violence may be just around the corner, depending on the results of today's election.
