What were you doing on 9/11?

I was in fifth grade and had just gotten to school. My teacher wheeled a TV into the classroom while everyone was arriving and we all watched. When the second plane hit she turned off the TV and left the classroom. I didn’t know what it meant. We were left alone for most of the day, and didn’t do any work.
When I got home from school I ate peanut butter and jelly on crackers.
