I remember 9/11

And I'll never forget.

I flew into NYC for a week of important meetings at my company hq. We had colleagues coming from all over the USA and world, Inc the 20 of us Brits who flew in.

We were just setting up waiting for others to fly in as a tragic accident was announced. We dashed to a window with a clear view and watched the second plane hit. That moment I remember I went almost into a fuge state briefly thinking "This is no accident this is an attack".

My thoughts and prayers with all those that lost anyone as a result of that day or are still affected by it.

A guy I know who worked in our office in Virginia was driving to a meeting and was near the Pentagon when the plane flew right in front of him at a low altitude and smashed into the Pentagon. He stopped but was unable to get close enough to help due to security.

I am so sorry you saw it happen. I was living in Los Angeles at the time, so by the time we woke we saw the replays. I was supposed to be on a plane to NY on Sept. 13. I had colleagues in the second tower. Only one survived because he left the meeting he was in when the first plane hit. My company’s office was at One Liberty Plaza, and the employees there saw it happen firsthand as well. It was awful. I miss how united we were as a country after it, but I wish it had never happened. My heart feels for those who lost their lives and for their loved ones who still grieve.

I was on my way to work and heard the news on the radio. I pulled over to listen as anger flooded my being. Even though beyond military age, I was ready to go fight whoever was responsible.
Omg…you saw it firsthand…I’m so sorry. 🥺

I am so sorry that you saw it first hand.
