@wildbill83 I have to wonder if it was a former disgruntled employee who was fired from the hospital, a bored teen or someone who just loves to create havoc to make the news. Whatever it was a sadistic thing to do. And putting a strain on emergency responders (fire dept., police etc) when they could have been assisting other people who were having problem due to the extreme weather.

Sad that happens. Funny story from a number of years ago. I was visiting in a hospital when the fire alarm went off. Amazing efficiency as the staff got all the patients out of the building. I happened be standing beside a construction worker as we waited for the fire department to let the sick people back in. The contractor said that he was the one that triggered the alarm. He was doing some cutting and a bit of smoke from his saw triggered the alarm. He was rather upset. He had asked and the hospital had confirmed that the alarm for his area was shut off. Fortunately it was a nice day so we all got some nice sunshine as we waited.

@hippyjoe1955 Something like this happened this past December at the cancer hospital I go to for chemo. It wasn’t on a day that I was having chemo but I heard about it during my next two chemo sessions from patients that had been there on that day. It was due to something that construction or maintenance was doing and was a small fire that was quickly extinguished. But the alarms sounded and everyone had to evacuate the building. Imagine being hooked up with chemo IV’s and in the middle of treatment and having to evacuate on elevators having someone push the pole thing that the chemos (many have more than one and also other drugs like steroids, anti-nausea meds etc going on too) and pumps are on and leading the patients out of the building and having them wait for nearly an hour before they could go back inside and be able to lay back down in their reclining chairs. People are already weakened from the cancer and the chemo can cause dizziness and fatigue etc. to add to it. The nurses, doctors, medical students, other staff, and other patients in the building also had to evacuate…a huge amount of people waiting outside. It’s a 5-story building too.

@cherokeepatti Ironically the one I was talking about was the regional cancer hospital as well. It too is multi storied. 4? Yes some of the patients were hooked up to their Chemo drug infusers. Quite a number were bedridden and in very frail health because the chemo hadn't worked. I was amazed at how efficiently they were able to evacuate the place. I do hope the chemo is working for you. It did for my wife although she also went through a full session of radiation.

Who would have had time to actually have done anything? The entire Frisco ISD was under a bomb threat. After they checked all the buildings, they put all the campuses on lockdown last week.

Unbelievable!!! 😖
Bearsfan67 · 56-60, M
It’s pure evil. Hard to understand what would motivate someone to do that.

Disgusting
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
Obviously not all the sick people were in the hospital. Dreadful act.

I guess it's to be expected. The DemonRats normalize and encourage such evil acts.

There's no explaining it. Some people are only SEMI-human. Not quite there yet.
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
@4meAndyou I have heard a phrase being used about such people…low vibration humans.

Sadly it was probably someone who didn't want to go to work today. 😡😡😡

@cherokeepatti Yes it is and especially in the face of a major storm.

@Musicman When they mess with hospital staff and first responders not to mention sick or injured people then the judge will likely throw the book at whoever did it if they catch them.
After the big casino, Riverwind, opened south of Norman they were having to deal with called-in threats. I never heard of anyone getting caught and everyone in the casino would have to leave the casino while security did a sweep of the entire casino. There are Southern Baptists here that are vocal about hating gambling (and alcohol use and smoking, probably because they expect tithing to support the church and the preachers and it takes money away from the donations) It wouldn’t surprise me if some church member was behind those calls. I heard a woman talking to a friend at a yard sale and the man mentioned someone they both went to church with worked with him. The guys would play dominoes on their lunch break. They had a board on top of barrel and would sit around playing. Their mutual friend came over and kicked the board off of the barrel and accused them of gambling and said it was illegal to do that. He said that money was never involved. They would just keep score and it was a way to pass their time.
