I called the fire department earlier.

I was driving through a small forest and pulled over to call and give the address because there was smoke rising from the top of the trees. It did appear to be dying out from the rain but we dispatched it anyway because it was right next to some power lines.

Right after I hung up, the rain went away and the fire started to grow. 😆 I could see flames. So I called back and told them.

I went to the door of one of the houses nearby and told the guy inside. He just casually said, "Oh okay" and then went back in. 😂

Then the sirens came, I flagged the driver down, and showed them to the spot. Asked them if they needed any more info, then left when they said no thanks.

It was pretty scary actually seeing flames directly near power lines but I know it's probably a pretty normal occurrence in the grand scheme of things, hence the homeowner being so nonchalant about it.
