Why does it seem like the Democrats favor the Ayatollah?

I understand why they want Trump to fail, they hate him.

But why do Democrats think Iran is great the way it is? I have not heard them say one thing about
the 10s of thousands of protestors that have been killed.

You don't reasonably think democrats supported that regime.
And you can't reasonably believe that this war is anything but a ploy.
You should look into trump's remarks when obama was potus regarding an iranian war and why it would be waged.
A confession made before the act.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Carla I believe Democrats would rather the Ayatollah continued his reign of terror rather
than do what we are doing now.

So you either support what he has been doing, or you support a regime change.

You can't have it both ways Carla darlin.

You can't have it both ways

You can be against starting a war in the Mideast and be against a murderous regime in a foreign country at the same time.

@Carla Trump and his administration has zero empathy or regard for them. To pretend otherwise is self medication.

Quite the opposite Carla. It is the Democrats that could care less about the people of Iran.

Please see my list of just a few human rights violations in Iran.

How does your list of human rights violations in Iran justify your statement that Democrats don't care about the people of Iran? I believe that's called a non sequitur.

] Yes, we know that there were also people that said the same thing before we got involved with
going after Hitler. Is this the point you are trying to make?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@MoveAlong Doing nothing to the perps is the same as supporting them.

We didn't attack Germany until after they declared war on the US

Not attacking someone does not mean we are supporting them. To support something implies you are doing something actively.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@MoveAlong There were still many people that were against it.

You are actively trying to stop us from helping them with a regime change. That is SUPPORT!
Carla · 61-69, F
@DogMan you can list human rights violations by many different regimes.
Do you propose we invade north korea? How about russia? Maybe saudi arabia? How about isreal?
Do you have a clue as to what this illegal war is going to cost in american lives? The economy? Any chance of stability in that region is gone. And to what end? There is a distinct possibility that an even more radical leader takes over there. A younger one. And they have over a million soldiers, maybe over two, ready to go.
So...why are we there?
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@DogMan

I am in no way supporting the government of Iran by being against going to war.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Carla I understand your concerns. Many other countries are also getting involved now.

They would not get involved if they didn't think it was the right thing to do.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@MoveAlong Ok if you say so.
Carla · 61-69, F
@DogMan "the right thing to do" self preservation most often is just that.
So now this war will claim our soldiers lives as well as our allies.
Again...for what? Regime change? The name will change, the ideology remains the same.
Did i mention that their indoctrinated army is up to two million strong? You expect the average man on the street and his cohorts, armed with shovels, take over?

And if human rights and safety is your concern, why aren't you advocating for invading north korea which has nukes pointed our and our allies way?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Carla You expect the average man on the street and his cohorts, armed with shovels, take over?

I'm glad that you understand what the 2nd amendment is for. Many Democrats do not.
Carla · 61-69, F
@DogMan is that what you got out of that? No democrat i know is against the second amendment. It's about whom and how one gets a weapon and who can keep one(boiled down).

So...why are we killing our soldiers?
How about over one hundred school children? You know...civilians you are so concerned about.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Carla Our soldiers take that risk. Cops get shot, Fireman get burned. It's their choice.

30,000 + protestors have been killed in Iran, by Iran. You know, civilians.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Carla Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens called for the repeal of the Second Amendment.

Good thing he retired.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Carla Stevens' arguments is evidence that "the gun-control lobby is no longer distancing themselves from the radical idea of repealing the Second Amendment and banning all firearms,"
Carla · 61-69, F
@DogMan this is an illegal war. Trump declared it a war, which he is unable to legally do.
Any soldier that dies, dies by the hands of a felon issuing illegal orders.
It's the new american way. Maga!
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Carla Oh no! a FELON! 🤣
