Hourly Pay Gap

One reason for the pay gap is that men do dangerous high paying jobs that women
want nothing to do with. This skews the numbers when average hourly pay is factored.

Also, as a rule men work far more overtime, this also skews the numbers.

And one big reason for the gap is that women are too nice, they are not
aggressive about advancement and pay raises.

I have read that women are also not getting into high paying STEM field jobs.
