Are you buying American?

It doesn't matter what side of the aisle you are on, we should ALL be trying to buy American.

As a construction material contractor, I didn't realize how much of our material was made
overseas. Last week, after the Tariffs went into effect, the very next day manufacturers
levied Tarfiff surcharges on us. Most of them are between 25 - 35%.

We have told them all, OK, we will buy American. We have already opened new accounts
with manufacturers, and reactivated old accounts.

The sad thing is, I believe many on the left will NOT buy American, because they hate
Trump far more than they love this country.

I won't be buying American. Most of it is lesser quality than other goods anyway.

@Entwistle quality/value should always be a major factor. And price forms part of value.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman which is why we should never buy chinese or Canadian products.

If you choose to NOT buy Canadian products, may I suggest as an alternative that you source other suppliers for your daily crude oil consumption, your daily electrical supply in every State in the USA except the State of Texas and of course your daily fresh water supplies because right now, the USA receives 70% of it's crude oil from Canada, 90% of it's electrical supply from Canadian nuclear power reactors, 85% of all fresh water from Canadian sources as well as 99% of America's lumber that is grown for export in Canadian forests.

As a maple syrup substitute, may I suggest you buy that cheap American stuff y'all make up there in Vermont which tastes as weak and looks as impotent as American beer or so I'm told, so you make the choice of what you should stop buying because after all, you're a typical American and you know everything.

@swirlie sure you may suggest whatever you like.

because after all, you're a typical American and you know everything.

Pot, meet kettle.

I think it's because they're all stamped out of the same sheet of cookie dough.
