Why no DEI in pro sports?

Why is it that only the best of the best, based on ability and merit, get to play and make
the big bucks? It's not my fault I'm only 5'10, why should I not be able to make big bucks
playing in the NBA? Why are us regular people punished? Shouldn't we continue to
get participation trophies in adult life? It's just not fair.....I'm going to my safe space.

I’d argue that the quality of baseball got better when Black players were allowed to play in the major leagues. And then again when teams made a focused effort to recruit talent from Latin America. And then again when teams began seeking out Japanese players.

So which part of diversity, equity and inclusion feels like a problem to you? Because that’s what those programs do—they find ways to identify talent from underrepresented groups. The result is better performance not worse.

Merit and Talent got them in. It had ZERO to do with skin color or nationality.

DEI is about letting people in that can't make it on ability alone, like me. The thing is,
I will never be helped, because I am a straight white Christian male.

I do not check any DEI boxes.
