Just a thought, something to consider...Throughout history...

Throughout history, when one country wanted something from another country or wanted their actual country, they just took it over. Spain, the Romans, the Greeks, the Vikings, as well as other nations all just came in and took, (by force) what they wanted. Only the strong survive. The strongest of the two wins the war and survives.

Today we have "Rules of War". Rules that attempt to keep war neat and tidy even though each side is taking the lives of soldiers and civilians. Protesting to stop a war usually has little to no effect. Did the Viet Nam protests here in the US do one thing to shorten the Viet Nam War? Of course not. Were there any antiwar protests for WWI or WWII? Not that I know of, but if there were, did they do any good? (The only protest that I know of that did any good was the Boston Tea Party which also started a war.

We also have created, "war crimes". These are the things that are "against the law" to do during a war. How ridiculous does that sound considering that a war commits the biggest crime of taking away human life.

So, I ask, what's the difference between Russia wanting to take over Ukraine, Palestine wanting to take over Israel, The US wanting to take over Venezuela or Greenland? None. Forget the rules of war, let's just let everyone fight it out and winner take all.

I see it as a larger version of groups ("gang") staking out territory in cities.

Same process - just a smaller scale.

Cute.
We also used to rape, pillage, steal, commit human sacrifice, genocide and cannibalism as a species.
Doesn't mean it should be legal, and it doesn't mean it's ethical or moral.

@basilfawlty89 We still do all those things today except that now, it's against the law.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@IM5688 now ask why it's against the law.

If there aren't laws prohibiting those things, we'd have mass chaos and mutually assured destruction. Read about the social contract.

Don't you enjoy the MAGA mind? It's like there's nothing there.
