Japan is not the Imperialist regime it once was and its people a lot more educated about the rest of the world in general. It is more likely to take revenge on the USA economically and being a good world citizen.

Japan is too busy building up it's defense forces to try and save itself from the ultra nationalistic Chinese desire for revenge upon the Japanese for japans invasion of China during WW2..

@Sayana Frustrations with the USA does not change the fact that the greatest enemy of Japan is the CCP, The Chinese communist party.. Yeah trade negotiations with the current US administration is tuff but politicans who care about the overall interests of their people keep a level head and do their best to work through the drama to secure the best long tern result for their people.. The Japanese seem to have a long term mindset when it comes to long term relations and economic plans..

As long as Japan sends a letter in the mail to the President of the USA before Japan nukes America, everything should be okay. But for Japan to nuke the USA without sending at least a little memo in the mail ahead of time providing full disclosure for Japan's reason for nuking America, then the whole plan will fail.
The whole plan will fail because Joe American would never suspect that Japan still held a grudge after all these years and he would never connect the dots that somehow linked Japan's nuking of America with America's nuking of Japan in 1945. After all, why would one nuking be related to another such nuking?
Always remember that Americans are smart when it comes to buying used cars, but Americans are really not a brilliant culture of people genetically.
Always remember as well that when dealing with Americans, you must always give them ample heads-up notice of at least 5 business days that you intend to nuke them on the weekend that follows and always pre-state your reason for doing so.
