I Don't Want America To Go To War Against Iran
In a war with Iran, the U.S. would very likely destroy the Iranian military, eventually. The U.S. has 100x the military budget of Iran. But it will be a far more bloody, difficult, costly conflict than the Iraq war. Iran has a much bigger, more effective military than Iraq did. Many U.S. military personnel will die and be wounded. The big losers include the civilian population of Iran. Thousands would die. The financial cost for the U.S. will be in the countless $ billions.
The long-term repercussions will be great. The Iranians could jam up the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf, preventing oil tankers from leaving the region, which throw a money wrench into the world economy. And the U.S. and Europe will be the target of terrorist attacks as never before. Trump, of course, will be safe inside a bunker.
We in the U.S. must demand Congress restrain, and remove Trump and deescalate the situation with Iran before it's too late. A war with Iran would be a very ugly business.
