I Don't Want America To Go To War Against Iran

After the horrible mistake that was the Iraq war, after so many years, I don’t think enough Americans have learned a thing. There are plenty of similarities between the accusations Bush Jr. made to justify declaring a war on Iraq to the Trump administration trying to start a war with Iran with them accusing Iran of certain things to justify a reason for doing so. Such as, accusing the country of sabotaging an oil tanker when there is no clear evidence of them doing so. I really do hope the U.S. does not start a war with Iran, but seeing how some people view the situation, wishing for the U.S. to bomb Iran, a war might happen and that’s unfortunate.

If the US and Iran go to war, then it is possible that Saudi Arabia, Iran's regional power-rival, will also join in. As various groups, Hezbollah for instance, are allied to, or friendly with, Iran, they may also be tempted to join and if so, a regional conflict might escalate into something greater. At present, the government of Syria also seem to be friendly with Iran, and Russia backs them.
It is a very dangerous game and more similar to the ties of alliance in 1914 than the Iraq situation, for Saddam had few allies (I can't think of any). Sabre rattling on the part of any state is always scary, but when the stakes are so high and nations so fragile, it shows a massive failure of diplomacy and a verge onto lunacy.
