I live in California I'm like forty miles outside of it it's completely disgusting we have zero leadership honestly even Republicans here are basically liberals. I came to America legally late 80's early 90's and did everything right opened a business my practice I also swore I wasn't a citizen of Tahiti anymore and I would be a dutiful citizen of America eventually. These current types are not at all same they hold flags of every other country talking about I won't go back while they burn the flag of the place they want to stay? My husband is a marine and a sheriff him and friends are so just ready to go down there but it wouldn't turn out nice. I'm honestly now of the mind like he said they should just use live fire everywhere these happen and then it will stop this is a invasion. I'm half Tahitian half Chinese and I tell you no other country would allow any of this. Protecting criminals protecting illegal criminal and terrorist this is disgusting. Already had to deal with businesses and property being burned due to wildfires which didn't need to happen and that was after recovering after the summer of 2020 😩.

@Gibbon oh and like cutting off people on the 101 freeway is suicide I'm surprised more people have not been shot or stabbed. They were throwing blocks of concrete down off the overpass into traffic that is just ugh. You aren't helping you're cause it's probably because they have no actual cause.

@HoeBag Absolutely. They used these types of weapons in larger calibers to completely strip forests from helicopters in Vietnam. That's one serious mower.

@Gibbon Regardless of who the one in charge is, or the level of peacefulness or v*olence, I never understood why people bother with protests. Does it ever really change anything on either side?

@HoeBag I don't get it. It's just angry people making everyone else in the city angry at them. No one is saying okay stop we'll do what you want. I was living not far from the DC line during the riots after Martin Luther King was assassinated and everyone in our neighborhood had a shotgun or rifle sitting next to their front door in case they decided to cross the line into the suburbs. They weren't playing people would have been shot on sight.
People these days don't have that kind of courage to gather and protect their neighborhoods because the damn laws judges and police are bassackwards.
I guarantee even with all the illegals if a group of LA citizens took to the streets to kick some ass the LAPD would go after them as the easier of two targets.

@Gibbon I cannot even imagine what things were like when MLK was assassinated.

In my city, "la raza" is not a problem. Some presence but not like L.A.
Most of them have assimilated to American life and go unnoticed, even the ones who speak no English.

Unfortunately, we DO have a lot of "sons of Obama" which is probably even worse. 😬
They do not really terrorize the good parts of town though, most of their activity is concentrated in certain areas. "Another gang shooting on the city's North East side..."

@HoeBag The areas around DC, Shaw, Anacostia, and Georgetown took the worst damage from looting and building burning. It took 6 to 9 years for complete recovery. In all those areas some Row Houses/destroyed lots sold for as little $1-5 as incentive for people to buy and rebuild which was a requirement of the sale.
