Protesting..... [I Have Been In a Protest]
Or should I say, speaking your mind, is an essential part of growing up - we grow, our lives are dictated and influenced by friends, family and the media....we assimilate those ideas and ideals into our own lives to make our own personality....
Protests come in many ways, shapes or forms but i've only been involved in peaceful ones, specifically the CND marches throughout England in the early 80's.
I felt passionate enough about my fears of nuclear power to stand up and say something about it.
Did it change things? Kinda. At the time we had the 3 Mile Island meltdown and then, later, Chernobyl, which were crazily scary. I believe it stopped the creation of [i]more[/i] nuclear power stations and nuclear weapons.....so we did our bit.
