President Trump seems to forget NATO is both defensive not belligerant, and is an alliance.
He also seems to have unlimited power, taking his purely honorary Commander-in-Chief title to mean he is a real Commanding Officer. Has he ever served in the Armed Forces even at "other ranks" level?
Not only that, but a commander more by instinct than decision of his nation's government and advice from the real military top brass. Few if any other USA-ally countries' presidents or rime ministers have that personal, supra-State, military power. I don't think he realises that.
Nor can you co-ordinate a multi-nation campaign if the other nations had no idea the initial attacks would take place, were not consulted or involved in planning the attack, then left not knowing from one week to the next if and how they will be wanted after all.
Regarding trust, even if he did not abandon his allies, I don't think he would be very grateful or gracious about their contribution.
Berating allies for not jumping into war without thought or prior planning, then saying, "We don't need you anyway - we've already won the war" (the second clause patently not true anyway), hardly inspires confidence.
Everyone knows what the goal is, eliminate IRGC and Islamic control of the region. If as a military man he still doesn't know that then he obviously wasn't a very good one and got his position by failing upward
