Is NATO fit for purpose against the increasingly cynical Russian President?

Is Putin a mad dog who is trying to unite all the pariah states behind him to return the world to some kind of Putinesque Cold War?

Yes!

Except he is currently in a hot war.

He loves having DJT in his pocket and other autocrats helping him.

This is an assault upon democracy, and DJT's supporters are worrying about inconsequential things as they staunchly defend untruths.

The West is foundering in an onslaught of people long accustomed to controlling their own populations. It's very sad.

I hope your daughter is able to be an adult in a world which has successfully navigated these dangerous waters.

Yes.. Putin is desperate.. Xi is desperate and Kim is desperate.. Desperate people grasp for any help they can get..

NATO is only as effective as the Members allow it to be.. NATO's effectiveness is unknown and it will take a very dangerous test from XI or Putin or even Kim amoung others to put NATO to the test..

If i was either of the 3 i would not be putting NATO to the test... Thats a very dangerous test indeed..

I think Putin is a megalomaniac who wants to be a combination Tzar/Stalin. I just saw a video that in the past few days NATO scrambled to full alert because of Russian incursions into Polish air space. :(
