The likelihood of immortality

We all gotta go sometime. Or do we? Right now there are 8 billion cases that have not been confirmed to be mortal. The number of people who have proven to be mortal is estimated at no more than 109 billion. That means there's a 6.8% chance that everyone alive today is immortal! 6.8% might not seem like a very high number--I wouldn't be my life on that--but if the probability of everyone being immortal is 6.8%, what do you think the probability is that at least one person is immortal⁉

Or do I just sound like politicians and advertisers pushing numbers at you presuming they'll mean something?

Souls are immortal.
Bodies are not.

You have blown my mind, but possibly not in the way you imagine. What is the biological process that stops aging and at what age does it kick in?

What does immortality on this earth do to the psyche as every one of those you love die?

I refer you to the film The Age of Adeline for one take on this intriguing, but fictional, concept.
@FreddieUK that's another question to be asked. But until then: 6.8%!
