Hehe gas stoves! Do you honestly think Biden wants to ban them? Will the culture wars never end?

Personally, I'm happy to see them go! I'm one of the wok-erati who has a sleek beast of a wok that can crisp my tofu in seconds, while my Fairtrade quinoa is steamed to perfection on the faintest whisper of inducted heat.

But what about you? Is it God, Guns, and Gas, as Jim Jordan said? (or surely oil barrels filled with wood that you felled with your bare hands)?馃ぃ

I mean not everybody can afford electric stoves, so I think it's wrong to just ban gas stoves, this is gonna affect mostly poor people who just have the bare minimum of household appliances and who can't afford electric stoves. I respect everybody's rights to own whatever kind of stove they want, I really don't care what stove is in your house. I have an electric stove, but I still think it's wrong to do. Just another way of these psychopathic control freaks trying to control everyone's life and telling us what we can and cannot have in our own homes, our own lives, etc. Like what, is Biden gonna have swat teams raid people's homes now to steal everyone's gas stove? Thinking about it now, it wouldn't surprise me. The people who cannot afford an electric stove in their apartment or house or whatever are definitely just resort to burning wood as an alternative, and that isn't exactly the best option, either. Calling it right now.

@IWasCallingYaLarry The thing is, though, Biden is not going to ban gas stoves.

@SW-User You don't know that. Plenty of people said the same thing about guns, about this, about that, and yet he keeps trying to create new bills banning all these things. Having an optimism bias and saying "It won't happen here. It can't happen here." is never a good mentality to have because then when it does end up happening, you have a lot of egg on your face. People thought he was also not gonna raise our taxes, yet I knew he was going to and guess what, then the Democrats decide to hire 87,000 IRS agents to further screw over hard working American citizens over even more out of our hard earned money we break our backs over. Everything he's done up to this point is to target the middle class and poor people to hurt us all even more. That's my huge issue with every bad decision he makes. His own party doesn't even want him running again, and I don't blame them. He makes their party look so bad, although they make themselves look bad on their own, none of them need his help in that department.

@IWasCallingYaLarry Well, the only thing that is concrete at the moment, is that there will be an as-yet-unlaunched consultation into their effect on public health.. no need to explode just yet.
IWasCallingYaLarry26-30, M
@SW-User Yeah I don't really trust any time the government tries to step in and tell us what's good or not good for anyone's public health, if I'm being honest. Have you seen the ridiculous new food pyramid they made up and lying to people saying this is healthier for you than this other thing? Trying to tell people a bowl of lucky charms, just a bowl full of pure sugar, is better for you than a plate of bacon and eggs, yeah I'm just not buying it. I'll decide what's good or not good for myself, thank you, cuz I'm an adult. Sorry, just I'm not very trusting.

@IWasCallingYaLarry Food and pollution are two very different things, but no matter :)

@SW-User Yes I know. But what I am saying is I don't trust any time the government comes out and tries telling us what is or isn't good for us. We're grown adults and can decide for ourselves what we do. I know stupid people exist, sure. But everybody else can decide what to do for themselves. I'm almost 29, okay? I can make my own decisions.
