It's so silly how gas stoves symbolize freedom now. It's just like ICE cars vs electric ones and how people are all upset that electric cars are growing in popularity. They see replacing ICE cars as an attack on their identity

@deadgerbil Basically, some people think that anything that is considered even slightly feminine is an attack on their personal freedom. However, I think, at the core, personal freedom has nothing to do with it: I think these people are terrified that others will realise that they are actually gay🏳️🌈

@deadgerbil Just like everyone who accepted getting jabbed for covid making out the unjabbed were the vector by which Covid spreads, when the opposite is true.

@butterflybaby75 I'm sorry but the only people who spread covid are those who were not vaccinated. But we're not talking about that here.

@SW-User No we're not but your facts are incorrect. Commensurate with the industry and political posturing about electric cars is the same thing happening with household appliances, but there's no *additional* electricity generation except rooftop solar which some have and some don't, and that is a very real 'haves vs have nots' situation.

@butterflybaby75 Any government in the world could eliminate the barriers between the haves and the have nots by simply phasing out the billions upon billions of subsidies they pay every year toward supporting the fossil fuel industry (which is making ASTRONOMICAL proftits as a result), and switching them instead to supporting renewables.
Although subsidised, renewable energy receives nothing like, not even close to the levels of government funding that the fossil fuel industry receives. Subsidising renewables to the same level as fossil fuels would revolutionise PV panel uptake, supercharge the EV revolution and cause the cost of electricity to plummet and the cost of gas and oil to skyrocket.
Governments could facilitate this switch. However, in general, they do not choose to.

@butterflybaby75 If only vaccinated people spread COVID, how did it spread before the vaccine existed? Be careful thinking of an answer, you don’t want to injure yourself .
