The main cost increase has been winter fuel. It has doubled, and the provider wants £1000, in reserve.
Food costs about 40% more, and portions smaller.
The excuse for the first is the war in the Ukraine.
The second is leaving the EU.
We also have stealth taxes, with thresholds not going up with inflation.
This is blamed on Covid.
The government will not admit to mishandling the economy.
So it’s Ukraine, EU and COVID!
