I got extra hours, quit smoking (which is really costly in Australia), and don't go out on the weekends now - petrol is too expensive .
And I fast now and then.
So I'm breaking even ....just.

It's gonna hurt if it gets worse .

@OogieBoogie I wish i could quit the smokes..I do not buy much at all in groceries either...

But I look at the TV ...and it is like back in 1980 or something and people pretending everything is OK.
@revenant I've tried to quit so many times it's not funny . Tried all the ways ...the medications and crap.
What is working for me (besides being poor 😂), is :
-First ...I cut down ....over two years. I got down to about 10 a day and got stuck there .
- Then I substituted with vapes . You can get them in different strengths of nicotine ...or nicotine free. (I went with nicotine at first and have been using lighter and lighter strengths over the last few months)
- Now I have two vapes: One is 5% and the other is nicotine free. I try to use only the nicotine free one ....which of course I don't - but it's the goal not the little fails that counts .

The goal is to get to totally nicotine free, and then work on replacing the physical habit.

It seems to be working so far. It's WAAAY cheaper than cigarettes, and I smell like blueberry crush 😄

I figure this is gonna be a long game .... Maybe another year or so of working towards quitting.

But the vapes have been an AMAZING help - they are like a halfway deal. Better than patches or sprays or gum.

I mean, we all find out own way . But this has been the most successful for me so far.
I'm currently 4 months in and only one cigarette in that time ....and it was awful .

@OogieBoogie you have one heck of a will !
@revenant well...we'll see . I'm not holding my breath .
But then ....that's also what is good about this transition : ANY step is better than I was five years ago smoking 25+ a day .
If I stay vaping ...I stay vaping 🤷
