Yesterday I filled her up for $11.68 a gallon (imperial). 😑

@sarabee1995 Sounds like it would be easy to remove some of the subsidy and some of the taxes and it would even out, but I guess it won't work like that. 😶

@Classified Yeah, I'm pretty sure government financing and budgets don't quite work so clean. But I'm very much in favor of reducing all subsidies to almost all industries. In the world according to Sara, very few private businesses/industries would receive public dollars.

@sarabee1995 Worldwide they wouldn't receive subsidy? I mean if one government gives it, but another does not, you get distortion of competition. 😅

Time to maybe switch to an electric car, and pull out the bicycles often. So far I'm happy to take a hit to our wallets to help continue to needle away at Putin. I'd pay alot more for someone to plant a sharp tack on his favorite chair for example. What he is doing to Ukraine is devastating.

@Scribbles Most of the time I use the bike to go to the office, so that helps.
I just don't know whether the sanctions help against the war. Worst case scenario is that the war doesn't stop, but that the money given as charity to help the fleeing Ukrainians decreases in value, so it's effectively less. 😐

@SW-User thing is it doesnt matter a damn bit what sanctions do to Russians economy it still isn't stopping them from blowing the hell out of Ukraine and killing innocent civilians in the process so what are these sanctions accomplishing really other than pissing off Putin further further escalating the situation and raising prices on every damn thing all around making it harder on every body
