I am feeling a bit old tonight

My Great-nephew called me for help with a school project, by asking what life was like when I was younger; questions that I have gotten from several of my nieces and nephews over the past 30 years or so.

I gave my recollections of the past, so that my nephew's son may do well on his project.

He then asked if I fought in either the Korean War or Viet Nam.

I explained that I was too young for Nam.

He told me that he thought I was about 75, since I remember so much ancient history.

My youth is not "ancient history."

We didn't run around in togas.

Funny how life creeps up on you.

at least you are forever too young for something still lol
Hilarious! Anyone beyond 30 is regarded as ancient, nowaday.

Tell them about relics from your century, like rotary dial, vinyl records, and dial-up internet.

I've been in long PM correspondence on SW wtih someone whose grasp of historical time is extraordinarily poor; but I can't determine if it is his fault or if he was never taught 20C European history.
