Him being what they call mixed race these days, His father a Black male of Kenya, his mother Caucasian of the US, a Harvard graduate a lawyer, a senator, rose on to become the first Black man to hold the highest office of president of the United States -- 406 years after the first African slaves were brought to the shores of this land.

One interesting fact is that Barack Obama is also a descendant of an enslaved African who lived in the U.S., via his mother. So he has deep roots in our history and community, in spite of some trying to claim otherwise.
